The Dark Knight: Joker Introduction Revealed

This has been revealed lately on how the Joker is first brought into the film and I do like the idea....I hope they have the Joker much more darker and sinster than in the 89 movie....more like the DC comics would be better.....
The Dark Knight begins with the Joker robbing a huge bank (we’ve seen photos of this everywhere). The bank is where the mob and all the gangs in Gotham keep all of their money. The Joker takes this money and holds it “ransom”. The Joker then says to the mob and the gangs of Gotham, “If you help me take down Batman, you’ll get your money back. If not, I’m going to burn it all.” This is how the Joker assembles his army to take down Batman

Champions movie

Guillermo Del Toro is to write and direct a movie version of the hit 60s TV show Champions. It featured 3 government agents working for an intelligence agency called Nemesis, which was based in Geneva. The agents were played by Stuart Damon, Alexandra Bastedo and William Gaunt. When the agents were injured in a plane crash they were given superhuman powers which they used to combat crime.

Dallas back on but Different!!

Apparently the movie version of Dallas is back on, albeit without most of the cast that was once supposed to be involved. Betty Thomas is supposed to be directing and while John Travolta is likely sticking around as J.R., the rest of the cast needs filled. The early script which some had thought was being turned into a parody, may have been tossed. They’re going back to making it a serious movie in the vein of the television series. They’re also supposedly tossing out the notion of big name actors in all the parts (save Travolta) James Brolin has rumoured to already have agreed to play the part of Jock Ewing...... Minka Kelly is said to be Pam Ewing,.....Diane Ladd, has been approached to play Miss Ellie and Julie Bentz as Sue Ellen.
I actually perfer the idea of it being more serious......

Sly has a Death Wish???

Sylvester Stallone is in talks to both direct and star in a remake of the Charles Bronson 1974 movie vigilante classic "Death Wish" reports the trades. Michael Ferris and John Brancato, the scribes behind "Terminator 3" and the upcoming fourth film, are penning the script in which Stallone will play an ordinary man who goes vigilante after his wife and daughter are attacked.
Oh I don't know about Sly for this role at all??? He just doesn't seem right ....though at least its not Nicholas Cage lol

Clash of the Titans Remake

Latino Review reports that Warner Bros. Pictures is interested in having director Robert Rodriguez in charge of the "Clash of the Titans" remake. Rodriguez had previous been in talks at Warner to helm either a live-action "The Jetsons" movie or a big screen version of "Land of the Lost" before being associated with "Barbarella". With the camp sci-fi remake now on hold for a while, this could be now his new project... The original 1984 classic is an adaptation of the classic Greek myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda. Harry Hamlin, Maggie Smith, Laurence Olivier, Burgess Meredith, Ursula Andress, and a bunch of Ray Harryhausen stop motion animated creatures starred. "Raiders of the Lost Ark" screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and Travis Beacham ("Killing on Carnival Row") have both penned drafts of the script.

Beowulf

Just looked at the trailer there and I have to say Robert Zemeckis's film looks the amazing...he used a special technique of digitally enhanced live action. (Motion Capture) and has a cast list as long as your arm including Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Brendan Gleeson, and Robin Wright Penn...oh and that guy from Enterprise (oh well I suppose it can't be all good... eh Cat? lol) The story is based on the epic poem, Beowulf and is about a man who comes to a town to rid it of the monstrosity known as Grendel who terrorizes it.
They also plan on using 3D projection technology on a larger scale than previous films before it Anyway check out the trailer ...here's a link!!

Ant-Man Film

Synopsis: Biochemist Dr. Hank Pym uses his latest discovery, a group of subatomic particles, to create a size-altering formula. Though his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects.

Edgar Wright plans to direct an action-adventure film with comedic elements, insisting that Ant-Man would not be a spoof. Wright also plans to include both Henry Pym and Scott Lang as major characters, with Pym as Ant-Man in the 60's in Tales to Astonish style, and a flashforward to Lang as Ant-Man's successor in contemporary times.

In February 2007, Wright said that the project was in "a holding pattern" while the script was revised, with casting yet to begin. The director reported that he would have news for the film in a few months. He has been researching nanotechnology for the film.

I'm quite looking forward to this as a Marvel Comics fan ...But I'm actually quite surprised they went with this character particularly Henry Hank Pym (who really is Ant Man for me) but he had quite a different history than most Superheroes made into film that we see....for a start he doesn't stay Ant Man....he later becomes Giant Man, then Goliath (when he discovers new tecnologies to make himself big) and then changes to a Hero called Yellow Jacket where he can shrink anything down in size by touch and can literally carry jumbo Jets or massive rockets minaturised in his pockets. Pym is a bio and robotic genius but in the comics he also had serious mental issues which made him in the comic books a very complex and interesting character ...how they transfer this to a film is another question...should be good though.....

Mad Max: Fury Road

Moviehole says production offices for Mad Max: Road Fury have been reopened, and they are apparently checking out effects houses as a pre-cursor to production. Moviehole says Mel Gibson will not be back. We've previously heard suggestinos that the part of Max Rockatansky would be summarily recast so that the franchise can continue.....this I find disappointing in a way but alsdo intrigued at who they will get to play max now .....

So who do you all think should they get to play the role??

DaVinci Code Prequel...erm Sequel??

Actor Tom Hanks, director Ron Howard and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman are set to reunite for “Angels & Demons.” Variety says

Goldsman turned it into a sequel, even though the book is author Dan Brown's prequel to “The DaVinci Code.”

Hanks' character, a Harvard-based expert on religious symbols, this time sleuths a mystery that involves a secret society and a conspiracy that leads to Vatican City and threatens the future of the Catholic Church.
This has much more excited my sister as she preferred the Angels and Demons book to the DaVinci Code anyway and thinks the story is much more interesting.

The Spirit

The Spirit is a live-action film based on the 1940s newspaper strip The Spirit, created by Will Eisner. Frank Miller (Sin City) is set to write and Direct... Describing the main character Miller stated..... “ The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and come back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut. ” (Or a bit like me ) The film will not be an origin story, but will immediately start following the adventures of The Spirit. The film will also be more contemporary than the '40s and '50s era of the strip and also aim for a "timeless feel". The protagonist will be involved in a love triangle with Sand Saref and Ellen Dolan, the daughter of Central City's Commissioner Dolan. The controversial character Ebony White will not make an appearance in the film. (Ebony White is a Black sidekick to Denny Colt (The Spirit) and many considered him a racial steriotype....it sounds quite silly to me though)

Its got a great cast too.....
Gabriel Macht as Denny Colt / The Spirit, a rookie cop who returns from the dead to fight crime in Central City from the shadows. Miller had required actors who wanted the starring role to audition, and Macht was able to attain the role in August 2007.
Samuel L. Jackson as The Octopus, a villain who plans to wipe out all of Central City and will kill anyone unlucky enough to see his face. Jackson was Miller's first choice for the role and was cast in May 2007.
Scarlett Johansson as Silken Floss, a femme fatale secretary and accomplice to the Octopus.
Eva Mendes as Sand Saref.
Sarah Paulson as Dr. Ellen Dolan, the police commissioner's daughter.
Dan Lauria as the police commissioner.
Stana Katic as a rookie cop.
Johnny Simmons as a young Denny Colt
Louis Lombardi as Phobos, one of the Octopus's henchmen.
Jaime King as Lorelei Rox.

Pin (1988)

There may be spoilers ahead.... lalala... Well actually, it's one big spoiler!! Watched it last night and thought it was quite good, though quite an old film. It starred Terry O'Quinn of Lost fame, (looking very young) as a doctor and the lovely David Hewlett as one of his children (looking even younger!!! And thin too!!! Much prefer the cuddlier version ) Anyway, the Dr has an anatomical dummy in his office called Pin (short for Pinnochio) and he uses ventriloquism to make it talk to his kids, only DH's character actually thinks the dummy is real. His dad threatens to get rid of it when he finds his son deep in coversation with it but then, mysteriously, both his parents are killed. As time goes on he treats the dummy more and more like part of the family, freaking out his sister who thinks he's suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia. When she gets a boyfriend Pin tells him he's no good and to get rid of him, so he drugs him and bashes him over the head and when she finds out there is a scene where she raises an axe to DH? Then it cuts to a scene where she goes back to the house with her bf (cause he wasn't actually killed) and you see her talking to Pin who's sat at the window. Pin says he misses her brother and she cries and says she misses him too. Then there's a close up of Pin and it's actually DH made up to look like a dummy, so he's totally flipped out.

Told you there were spoilers - LOL! It was quite a good film and of course DH played the part brilliantly!!!

Knight Rider Returning

NBC is bringing back "Knight Rider," The Peacock is planning to remake classic 1980s series "Knight Rider" and has hired director Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith") to helm a two-hour backdoor pilot that could be ready for broadcast by the end of this season. Dave Andron ("Raines") is writing the pilot script and will serve as supervising producer alongside exec producers Liman and Dave Bartis ("The O.C.," "Heist") for Universal Media Studios and Dutch Oven Prods. Success of "Transformers" had a role in inspiring NBC Entertainment chief Ben Silverman's decision to revive "Knight." The thinking is that smallscreen f/x have advanced to the point where it'd be feasible to have a weekly series in which cars shift shapes. It's also likely the new show will explore the idea of "evil" cars to offset the heroic talking K.I.T.T. car of the original skein, which starred David Hasselhoff. That said, skein is expected to essentially remain focused on the story of a single man fighting for justice with the help of his superadvanced car. There's also huge potential for advertiser integration. General Motors was all over "Transformers," and it's easy to see NBC striking a rich deal with a single automaker to serve as the exclusive auto brand for the new "Knight." It's understood preliminary talks have already begun. Peacock is also veering from current conventional wisdom by moving forward with a telepic/backdoor pilot for "Knight." Nets rarely produce telepics with an eye on turning them into series anymore, in part because the telepic has essentially disappeared from the broadcast network scene.
But NBC execs no doubt feel "Knight Rider" is enough of a pre-sold brand to lure an audience. What's more, the telepic could serve as a good replacement for repeats come spring, perhaps replacing an encore of "Heroes" or "Bionic Woman."

I wonder will the original Knight David Hasselhoff be in it too Glen Larson (who created it originally)will be Executive Producer similar to his role in the new Battlestar Galactica which he also created in the 70's

More news on Terminator 4 and Vin Diesel???

I just read some interesting news about the new T4 film "Charlie's Angels" director McG is in talks to helm the fourth "Terminator" movie which is being rushed to be ready pre-strike.(I don't like the idea of it being rushed though)
A script just got turned in last week to The Halcyon Company who are pushing this into a pre-production start right away. Set after the apocalypse, this story has John Connor organizing the surviving humans to resist Skynet's army of robots.(I love this idea)
Meanwhile another report states that despite being attached to a fourth "Fast and the Furious", actor Vin Diesel is also in talks to be a part of this project - taking the role of the killer robot this time (yes. ... I hope this true...he'd be good)

SPOILER'S AHEAD!!!....Don't read if you don't want to know about the new film's story Script:

The Arctic. A MAN wearing disembarks from a tug boat and heads off into the remote wilderness. As he wanders through the ice, memories flash: a woman on the ground, flames – fuzzy and fleeting. At last he stops and removes his parka revealing a gun at his waist. His heart races as takes it in his hands and pulls the hammer back. A slight GREEN envelopes him. A gunshot. The man falls forward, but his arms rush out to catch him: huge, muscled, green arms. The hands reach up the man’s head and come down, holding a bullet, totally flattened. Justice League Spoilers

The characters of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Martian Manhunter comprise the League. Aquaman however may be left out Story elements from the screenplay have been adapted directly from the DC’s comic book series. The man wearing the Green Lantern ring in the film is John Stewart and not Hal Jordan (Earth’s first Green Lantern) or Kyle Rayner (who followed after Stewart’s run in the comic book continuity.) In the Justice League cartoon series John Stewart is the Green Lantern too. The Flash is the youngest member of the League and has a crush on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is portrayed as the member that acts as defacto humanitarian and face for the League. Unbeknownst to the League Batman has a piece of technology that he developed called the “Redeye”, a cool piece of hardware that he can use to spy unbeknownst on the other League members. . Want to find out what can cripple or kill each League member, their Achilles heel? It’s a snap with the Redeye. Batman files away the knowledge in case the day might ever come when he will need to use it to take down a member of the League that goes rogue or becomes a villain. The Redeye is paramount to the events that transpire in the movie. A villain (Don't know which yet) will gain control of the Redeye. Instead of serving as a means of protecting the planet’s populace from the threat of a superhuman out of control, this creation of Batman’s will come back to haunt him, threaten the lives of the League and the safety of everyone on the entire planet. During the course of the movie the day that Batman feared would come happens: a member of the League will, “go bad.”

Sounds cool don't it??

The Dirty Dozen Remake

I was reading an article lately about the new Dirty Dozen remake and apparently its a modern day take on the material. An Al Qaeda-like group called The Sword Of Crescent have risen up to fill the hole left by America kicking Al Qaeda back on to their heels. The president is now black, but apparently not Barack Obama. The script starts with a kidnapping of an American woman and apparrently a journalist - a hot 22 year old Callie Peck - who happens to be the daughter of a supermarket magnate that was a key backer responsible to get the President elected. Basically this Sword of Crescent group is so mean and bad that it scares the normal crack Force types and they suggest sending in military prisoners with "everything to gain" to get this girl. There's lots of cussing and doom projecting about their chances - and the dialogue is said to be absolutely dreadful awful.

Why in the name of God is not set during WW 2 surely that would make more sense???

Tron: The Next Chapter

Director Joseph Kosinski is in negotiations to helm Tron, described as "the next chapter" of the 1982 film. The new Tron project will scripted by Lost writers Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis and, interestingly, will be produced by original film co-scribe & director Stephen Lisberger.

I love the idea of seeing a Tron film I can't deny it... I do have concerns however on whether it can truly look better or have an equal impact as the original did?

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem directors Greg and Colin Strause spoke to MTV News they apparently distanced themselves from the original AVP saying "The studio knew that, although the last movie made a lot of money, it didn't really resonate solidly with the fans. To get the same people back into the theater a second time, it was gonna be a bit of an uphill battle." They also never met with AVP director Paul Anderson citing "I don't think anyone wanted us to talk to him. This movie works even if you didn't see [Anderson's]... We really have to prove to the fans that this movie's gonna be very different from the last one." The pair also speak of the R-rating, confirming a kid painfully and graphically dies onscreen via a chest burster alien. The Predalien hybrid kills a lot of Predators early in the film, and essentially serves as the 'Alien Queen' in this entry. "I'd like to do another one (A Sequel) but I'd like to do it in space. The next one either has to be more of the bridge after this and before 'Alien,' or you could do something after 'Aliens. We have a pretty finite ending to this, but we have a cliffhanger per se; it's a setup" says Greg.
This I have to admit has me a little intrigued to see what they do with it

Terminator 4 Weisz or Sevigny as Killer Cyborgs???

Rachel Weisz and Chloe Sevigny are reportedly battling it out to play a killer cyborg in the new 'Terminator' film. The Hollywood beauties both tried to impress the producers of the much-anticipated sequel during a Dazed and Confused magazine party at New York nightclub Weisz, 36, and 32-year-old Sevigny are said to have wasted no time in approaching Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek, both big hitters at Halycon Company who own the rights to the movie. A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Chloe and Rachel personally inquired to Anderson and Kubicek about the role at the party." The cast for the film is yet to be named, but it is believed a high profile "hunk" has already been cast as the male lead. However, Weisz may struggle to fit any new projects into her already busy schedule. She is already signed up to star in director Peter Jackson's 'Lovely Bones' and next year will start shooting 'Sin City 2' with filmmaker Robert Rodriquez. Meanwhile, Sevigny has low-profile German romance 'Peter and Catherine' on her current filming schedule So would any of you like to see either of the beauties in T4?

I honestly thought the female cyborg was done now...I didn't think we would have a repeat performance of it in this new film?? I thought they would have went for something completely different again like a super advanced kick ass cyborg child perhaps???

Paddington Bear Movie

Harry Potter producer David Heyman has attained the rights to Michael Bond’s books for Warners and hired Mr Bean’s Holiday scribe Hamish McColl to pen a script based on the stories.
It’ll feature Paddington’s origin – his trip from Peru wearing his iconic duffle coat, his marmalade fetish, his adoption by the Brown family and the scrapes he gets into thanks to his well-meaning but clumsy nature. "Paddington Bear is a universally loved character, and I have wanted to bring him to screen for some years,” blabbed Heyman to Variety. “Michael Bond's Paddington books have such wit, wonder and charm. Essentially, Paddington's story is that of an immigrant arriving in London and trying to find a home and a family. Above all, I love Paddington's unique style of comedy."

Could be good so get those pots of marmalade ready! lol

Indiana Jones - New Title Announced

Shia LaBoeuf let slip the title at the recent MTV Music Awards....
"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
It's a mouthful but it sounds good if you say it a few times

The Justice League

Some interesting news in the new Justice League movie from George Miller. He will be shooting it in Australia.
The real bit of interesting news, though, is that Barrie Osborne, producer of The Matrix and The Lord of the Rings trilogy is onboard as producer for this flick. This project could be absolutely amazing. Doing a superhero movie with Motion Capture could lead to something fantastic if Miller goes for a more stylized flick and keeps away from the photo-real. Even the photo-real could be great. It sounds like it could be spectacular.

The Incredible Hulk

I have to say I'm looking forward to this film...they were right to start a fresh again after the disaster of the first one.....Ed Norton doing the screenplay and starring also adds to my enthusiasm. They have also changed the look of the big green guy and made him much darker and much more monstrous....more like the comics actually ....but check out this small trailer and see him for yourselves

Beowulf

Just looked at the trailer there and I have to say Robert Zemeckis's film looks the amazing...he used a special technique of digitally enhanced live action. (Motion Capture) and has a cast list as long as your arm including Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Brendan Gleeson, and Robin Wright Penn...oh and that guy from Enterprise (oh well I suppose it can't be all good lol) The story is based on the epic poem, Beowulf and is about a man who comes to a town to rid it of the monstrosity known as Grendel who terrorizes it. The also plan on using 3D projection technology on a larger scale than previous films before it Anyway check out the trailer ...here's a link!!
